Provide Education (Project Dream India)
We realize that education translates into the power of self-sustainability and understanding this we have tried to inculcate the essence and love for education into the young minds of children. The constraint of space and shelter was never a deterrent for Nanhi Udaan which used the earth as its floor and the sky as its roof at Sector 11 Park, Faridabad and Ballabhgarh. Today, we provide education and inculcate the passion for education into 300 children who are the proud face of our initiatives. We believe that education encompasses all-round development of a child, therefore, we haven’t stopped only at teaching the course curriculum or clearing of academic doubts of children but we have engaged the children in candle making, sports, speech & poem competitions, teaching them cleanliness of surroundings & personal hygiene, dance classes and drawing & painting, as of now.
Provide Nutrition (Project Annapurna)
We have always stood with the truth that nutritious hygienic food is the basic element for a healthy body and a healthy mind. We at Nanhi Udaan have been active in packed food supplies to around 100 families and also dry ration distribution during pandemic and other crisis conditions. As a regular feature of our activities, we organize a nutritious food stall at Old Traffic red light, Faridabad, every Sunday, where we feed nearly 150- 200 needy people, sumptuous lunch, only for Rupees five, which we receive voluntarily from people.
Empower Women
We have always held onto the belief that a strong society makes a strong nation and a society cannot be strong enough if both the genders don’t have access to the same rights and privileges. We, therefore, have taken up the endeavor of providing vocational courses on stitching and tailoring works to the women folks of the 100 families we are presently trying to focus on.
Work for the Environment (Project Environment)
We believe that unless the present generation, across all age groups, don’t collaborate then we cannot save this fragile ecosystem which is so much essential for the basic survival. The volunteers associated with Nanhi Udaan along with the 300 children have indulged in keeping the surrounding areas, where the children study, clean by undertaking cleanliness drives once every month at Ballabhgarh and Sector 11 Park, Faridabad. Besides, we have also undertaken plantation challenge drives where we have successfully created greenery through the planting of 100 plus saplings and at the same time cultivated a feeling among the children to understand the process of conservation of nature and cleanliness which they have been sincerely passing on the message to their parents who are majorly laborers, maids, daily wagers, rickshaw pullers, etc.
Work for the Animal Rights (Project Prayas)
We adhere to the thought that a cultured society always has a deep understanding of pain for humans and animals alike. We have undertaken initiatives where we provide daily food to stray animals and also attend to injuries of animals that can never fend for themselves. We believe these actions shall inspire the children to be more and more tolerant and kind towards animals.
